General Introduction:
Polyaluminium chloride, abbreviated as PAC, is an inorganic high-molecular water treatment chemical. The types are divided into two categories: for domestic drinking water and for non-domestic drinking water, each following different relevant standards.
Due to the different components contained in the raw materials and the different production processes, there are differences in appearance color and application effect.
Drum-dried polyaluminium chloride:
The solid product of drum-dried polyaluminium chloride appears as yellow or brown powder.
It is an inorganic high-molecular coagulant. Through mechanisms such as double-layer compression, adsorption electro-neutralization, adsorption bridging, and sediment entrapment, it destabilizes fine suspended particles and colloidal particles in water, causing them to aggregate, flocculate, coagulate, and settle, thereby achieving a purification treatment effect.
During the hydrolysis process, physical and chemical processes such as coagulation, adsorption and precipitation occur simultaneously. The fundamental difference between polyaluminium chloride and traditional inorganic coagulants lies in that traditional inorganic coagulants are low-molecular-weight crystalline salts, while the structure of polyaluminium chloride is composed of multi-carboxyl complex compounds with variable forms.
It features rapid flocculation and sedimentation, a wide applicable PH range, no corrosiveness to pipelines and equipment, and obvious water purification effects. It can effectively remove color, quality, SS, COD, BOD and heavy metal ions such as arsenic and mercury from water. This product is widely used in drinking water, industrial water and sewage treatment fields. The product quality complies with ***GB15892-2003.
Spray-dried Polyaluminium Chloride (PAC):
The English name of polyaluminium chloride is PAC, with the molecular formula [AL2(OH)LnCl6-n]m. The technical standard complies with the GB15892-2003 standard. The product appears as high-end white and medium-grade light yellow powder.
The characteristics of spray-dried PAC polyaluminium chloride depend on the operating principle of the pressure spray agent. The aluminium chloride produced by the pressure spray drying process is porous small particles or hollow small particles, showing dust-proof and smooth properties.
Due to its better contact with the water body to be treated, its wettability and water treatment speed are both stronger than those of other powdered products. Spray production not only dries polyaluminium chloride but also simultaneously turns it into tiny particles.
