Properties:

  Ammonium bicarbonate is a colorless or light-colored compound, in the form of granules, plate-like or column-like crystals. Its specific gravity is 1.57 and its bulk density is 0.75. It is lighter than ammonium sulfate (0.86) and slightly heavier than granular urea (0.66). It is easily soluble in water, with a solubility of 11.3% at 0°C, 21% at 20°C, and 35% at 40°C.
