Caustic soda is mainly used in the printing and dyeing industry to remove fiber impurities, enhance color and softness, and is a key chemical in the printing and dyeing process. Specific applications include:
1. Removing impurities from fibers : Caustic soda is used to remove impurities such as oil and wax from fibers, making them purer and thereby improving the quality of printing and dyeing and the comfort of the fabric .
2. Enhance color fastness : The strong alkalinity of caustic soda enables dye molecules to bind better to fibers, thereby enhancing the color fastness of printing and dyeing and preventing fabrics from fading during washing and sun exposure .
3. Deepen color : Caustic soda increases the permeability of the dye molecules, allowing the dye to penetrate deeper into the fibers, thereby deepening the color of the fabric, making the printed products more vivid and full of color .
4. Improve softness : Caustic soda can change the structure of fibers, making them softer and improving the comfort, abrasion resistance and crease resistance of fabrics .
