Summarize:
   Sodium stearate is a white oily powder with a greasy feel and a fatty odor. It is readily soluble in hot water or hot alcohol. The aqueous solution is alkaline due to hydrolysis, while the alcohol solution is neutral. It is produced by the interaction of octadecanoic acid and sodium hydroxide. It is used in toothpaste manufacturing and also serves as a water repellent and plastic stabilizer.

Character:
  Sodium stearate is a white powder, slightly soluble in cold water but rapidly soluble in hot water. Very concentrated hot soap solution does not crystallize when cooled. It has excellent emulsifying, penetrating and decontaminating power, with a greasy feel and a fatty smell. It is readily soluble in hot water or alcohol water, and the solution is alkaline due to hydroly.

  Thickener, Emulsifier Dispersant Adhesive Corrosion inhibitor
 
 1) Detergent: Used to control foam during the rinsing process.
   
 2) Emulsifiers or dispersants: Used for emulsification of polymers and as antioxidants, etc.
 
 3) Corrosion inhibitors: They are used in clustering packaging films to provide protective properties, etc.
